RE: auto's 60' times with stock stall converter
yeah i hit a 1.81 last year with just the nittos and no suspension work done. im thinking i should just launch it lower even though im only at 1500 now. i'll try from 1000 rpms and see how i do next time. i pull consistent 2.0's launching as high as i can get the stock stall converter to go so my car get tight and is about to break the tires loose almost like a break stand so maybe a little lower and i'll be where i want to be.

your saying an awd car trapping a mph lower than me was spinning a little but a rwd car trapping a little higher shouldn't be spinning as much? i don't get it. but i wish i could drop 200lbs but i don't know where i could get that much. i took out all the seats and the spare tire is gone with the jack etc. i could do a lighter k-member but i'd rahter do a stall and cams or even headers for that matter.

No, what I was saying is that I was able to trap lower w/ minimal wheel spin..
Trap speed is more affected by your power to weight ratio. ET would be more affected by the 60' times.
I understand how that may work, but my AWD was at LEAST 200-300lbs heavier than my current Mustang is. I've seen it countless times at the track, where RWD's are spinning to all hell, getting an ET of 14.x, but trapping at almost 100mph... Power/Weight Ratio isn't much different, so I don't understand the dynamics there...
Do they use VHT during all of the "Test and Tune," nights at your track?? Do you skip the puddle??

the right lane is always better than the left but unsure if they use vht. i would assume so since there are a ton of 8 second cars. i go around the puddle and back into it and move up about a inch or 2 and then do a respectable burnout.

I am launching about 1500 rpms and was doing the 2.0s launching about 1250. I think you have some tuning to do on the suspension now. That is my idea though. I could be wrong but that is what plays a big role these days.

im trapping 111 and on 2.0 60's hitting 12.4 but i know its a 12 flat car with a decent 60'

yeah i think i'll get it down next time i go. im just not gonna launch it as high to where the tires almost start spinning. i usually do it around 1500 and it tightens the whole body up as if its going do a break stand so im just gonna launch a little lower next time at maybe 1200 and hopefully see some lower et's.
