Default shift light

i was thinking about going with a shift light. the raptor i saw on one of these post before. mounted in the air vent. has anyone on here done this? is it hard to see during the day? at light does it light up the whole car? we have one in our race car and its mounted on the dash with a 6 inch tach. at night it is very bright. i have read the post about it i was just wondering personal experiences and is it hard to do?

it was not hard to install at all. It is bright i have no problem seeing it in the daytime, but they also come with a cap to dim them down if you think it is too bright. I love mine. Wasn't a fan of the monster tachs

There is a guide for this somewhere. I had it bookmarked before I formatted my hard-drive.

i just put mine in, the easiest way to get the wire down to the pcm is thread it through the hole on the right side of the AC vent and then thread it down through the ac vent

I got my Raptor two weeks ago. It was probably one of the easiest installs I've ever done. In fact, I installed it at the track between runs. It took me about 30 minutes. Just print off the powerpoint slides from their website and make sure you have the right tools and connectors and go to town. I installed mine in the upper left-hand corner of the front windshield on the A-pillar. I ran the wire in the pillar, down the door jam, and across under the dash to the PCM. I got the black housing with the Red LED's. It sits about 12" from my eyes, and let me tell you, without the caps on, you can definitely see it no matter which way you are lookin. Definitely a great mod!
