RE: Just a quick question
I know what you saying. Like it wore down a bit on when you open the port, the body opens up and rests on the body itself. Haha I just confused myself but I know what you mean like the valve part with the spring wore down a part of the body it rests on when you open it up? Either way, thats sux but is hilarious also lol sorry man

So if I went out and got a 96-98 what would I have to do to keep up with the 99-04 gt?

Gears = 3.73 or 4.10s
Decent Suspension
and a 75 shot
These would run you around 1,500 to 2,000 and will get you past a stock 99-04 with no problems.

RE: Just a quick question
Or instead of gettin all the bolt ons, u could get a brand new set of Romeo PI heads for like 750 bucks and then get them ported and be a little past the stock 99-04's. But like everyone else has said, it will cost some. I think Ford Racing sells a S/C specifically for the 94-98's although it only adds about 60HP from what I read, and the price is ridiculous, but if u could get a different pulley it would be worth it. IMO, start off with building the block, get the pi heads and not necessarily get them ported now but at least u have them for later. Once u got the dough buy some Hi-Rev cams and then port the heads and have them installed. All together itll pry run around 2700 bucks but you would go from 215 to 270-275, I think, u may have to have the PI intake to get that high also. You may also think with that kinda money I could get a S/C, but like everyone else has posted u run the risk of blowing it completely, unless u keep the boost around 7-9psi, then u would be good. Its ur ride though, so its ur decision.

RE: Just a quick question
I think just a little over 1700, so I did get lucky in picking her up. They stopped production in late in 03 cause nobody liked the color, so they came out with Sonic Blue in its place. I personally love it, makes it rare.
