Default 1/8 mile times

I have a 2001 mustang gt automatic, and it has 89,000 miles. The only mods that I've done are x-pipe, drop in k&n airfilter, underdrive pulleys, and removed the air silencer, along with flow masters. In the 1/8 mile i'm running 9.1 @ 88 or 89 mph. When flowmasters was busted it ran 9.057. Are these times normal for the mods I have? My dad has a 2002 trans am ws6, and his best is a 9 flat. Does this sound right? I don't know if anything else has been to my car because it was bought used. Most of the other stock gts are running around 9.4-9.8 where i go. Thanks

Ok. What is a stock one suppose to get? Do you have a guess as to what could make mine so low? What are some things that i could do that is relatively cheap that will increase performance and possible increase gas mileage, or not make gas mileage real bad. i currently get between 18 and 21ish around town, depending on how much i get on it, and around 23 on highway. oh, and i'm on a pretty tight budget; just started clemson university, so money is kinda tight.

all those will help u out. stall converter. a buddy of mine has an auto and he bought one of those ebay flip switch things and it actually helped him out and it was like $40

hey wassup yall, not to but in or nothin, but im in charleston, and i ran a 8.9 or so on my first run ever with only flows. my quickest time though (stock) was a 8.732. but like u said since its auto, i can kinda see that. but a 9 flat for a ws6 doesnt sound right. they should be in the 8's stock.

yeah i race at greer dragway every once in awhile. i live in liberty, sc. what is the flip switch and what does it do? the thing with the ws6 is that he spins way too much. he has a hard time launching it; either he spins like crazy or it bogs down. spins a lot when he hits 2nd too, so that doesn't help. on my mustang, does removing the air silencer actually do anything? also, what does the foamy stuff on the bottom of our hoods do; is it a heat shield or something, and with taking it off help with weight and stuff? JJ03MustangGT, how was you getting 8.9 and 8.7 stock?
