I run drag radials because you will blow your axles on slicks with stock axles. Once I upgrade my axles, I'll run slicks.

Why do you think youll blow your axels? too much weight or cuz the axels never give cuz the tires always grip so theres more pressure? i dont think youd blow you axel as long as you dont power break, or do stupid **** with it that puts a lot of stress on the diff, racing is diffrent than burning out.

cuz with sticky tires.. its easy to snap an axle by revving up and launching it real hard... a 5k launch with slicks will do that for sure... although with slicks you can get some sweet 60's.. haha

I think I'll snap my axles because I've seen it happen. It happened to my buddy with an 02 gt, minimal bolt-ons and mickey thompson drag radials. He did a 5k launch and snapped his axles. He never got it fixed the right way and ended up selling the car. But hey, you guys can risk it if you'd like, I'd rather do it right the first time.
