coolant light
yesterday i was going down the freeway and my coolant light came on. i had my overdrive on so my RPM's were pretty high.. i pulled over to see if anything was leaking and there was nothing?? so when i got home i let the engine cool.. i checked my coolant level and everything was full ... the only thing that seemed wierd was the coolant was really dirty and thats about it.. does anybody know why my coolant would come on??

why would your RPM's be high if you were in overdrive? anyways change the coolant and get it flushed thats what happened to me i got mine cleaned and they filled it up with clean antifreeze and the light turned off

Either that or you just have one of the bad floaters. Our years are known for having the floater in the coolant reservoir sink or get stuck at the bottom. That could cause it to read the wrong level and make the light come on. But I'd check everything else out first before you assume it's a false alarm.
