How do I actually know if my intake manifold is cracked? Would coolant just pour out or could it be a slow leak? I have some weird liquid around the edges of my valve covers that creeps up on top of them, I cant tell what it is and my coolant resivoir is really low. I dont know if the stuff on the valve covers is oil or coolant though. The coolant also looks a bit dirty, maybe oily. Any ideas?

i know if it is cracked, the recall or warranty on the car is no londer... just a tid bit of info.

Oh, and what exactly causes the manifolds to crack in the first place? I know they're cheap plastic, but is it temperature? abuse? aging?

hehe, When I did my PI Swap, my coolent LOOKED like oil!!! It was pretty nasty.
