Pros and Cons to cutting springs
I want to see your input...
I have a friend who cut one coil off the front and one coil of the back. on an 01 GT
He says you have to cut from the bottom because the top needs to stay flat.
Nice stance
What does one coil come up to be? .5, 1.0, 1.5?
He says rides the same and doesn't think it harms anything!
Now what are the pros and cons? Any long term conditions to be aware of.

RE: Pros and Cons to cutting springs
all i know is when you heat or cut a sping it looses it's strength
that's probably why it rides the same or it feels softer
you can buy lowering springs for a gt for $120
why mess with cutting
just my opinion

RE: Pros and Cons to cutting springs
Pros: CHEAP>
Cons: Everyother reason I can think up.
Just get an Eibach pro kit and never look back. The car will sit right and ride way better. Dont cheap out on handling, and dont let some d-bag here say that he did it and it works fine. Just buy a spring kit and do it the right way. If you cant afford it, than dont do it. Goodluck.
