Hi Everyone. My 1st post here.

I currently own a 99 GT `vert w/ 5spd, which I've had for about a year. I've also owned (as my 1st car back in the early 70s, a `68 289 hardtop.)

I recently noticed that my GT doesn't have functioning back-up lights. Not sure if it was like that when I bought the car last year.

I was told that I should check the transmission to make sure that the "plug" was connected to the transmission. I did an oil change this AM, and checked for the plug (red wire?), which looked connected. bUt I honestly didn't know what to look for ... but everything seemed OK.

I put a Steeda Tri-Ax in it last year, but don't recall unplugging anything then.

Anyway, I'd appreciate any help in diagnosing this, before I take the car to a dealer, who will gouge me $$$ for a 5 minute stupid thing I overlooked.

I assume you changed the bulbs.

Might be a fuse, or you are just not making the reverse switch with the gear shift lever. I would check those items first if you haven't already.

i have a different problem mine stay on all the time what could it be ? i just recently did a clutch and tri-ax shifter?
