Right after getting home from work having been in the work van all day is the best. Nervous about driving @ night around here as there are to many deer to hit.

My favorite time to drive is twilight. It's a surreal atmosphere and it's fun to cruise and check out the sunset with the tunes blasting and the windows down, especially on a warm summer night. Man I miss June.

The most fun time to drive though.... is definitely between about 4 and 6 AM. The streets are deserted, most of the riffraff, drunks, and morons that come out at night are home, wrecked, or in jail. Most of the cops are busy dealing with the druggies and drunk drivers they picked up overnight, leaving me free to drive irresponsibly fast around town.

Favorite time to drive would be whenever the sun is up. It is too hard to spot a cop car coming towards you or behind you when all you see is their headlights.
^^ yea that is true but at night my new thing is if i go past 1 im going for a real ride and its not in the back of a cop car

+1 - Pa has the highest rate of deer collisions, so as much as I like the cooler air at night this time of year, it's also the start of hunting season which means the deer are on the move. I have mostly country roads around me, so I'm gonna have to say early fall afternoons are my favorite (checking out the leaves, etc...).

7am on the way to a car show. or just before the sun goes down at the beach. lowered city cars go slow at night, so we can see the *****y pavement and potholes.
