Default RE: Voided Warranty?

If every synchro goes, they could easily say it's from abuse. However if you have the 2nd/3rd gear grind only, the odds of the TSB being performed will be greatly increased. I wouldn't wait until the whole transmission is garbage.

I took in the service announcement in and they did my synchros with no debate and I had an aftermarket shifter in it. From my experience it is dealership to dealership. I took mine back to the place where I bought the car so they knew me personally and wanted me as a future customer. They went out of their way to get me a nice rental for the day and had the car for me ASAP.

Ford will not honor your warranty if you have installed any aftermarket parts. They voided mine because of the CAI, and 75mm TB and plenum. Then they saw the long tubes and it was over. After I was done throwing a hissy fit I asked the service manager about what will void the warranty and he said any aftermarket part and even showed it to me in writing.

Put your stock shifter back on.
then you need to talk to FORD, and the bette buisness beareu and maybe an attorney... they CAN NOT void your warranty just bc you have aftermarket parts.. they MUST PROVE - that the failure would not have occured had you NOT had the parts in question... so basically anything but FI should, and basically will not void your warranty unless the part inparticualr broke and caused a problem... they much fix your car - its the law!
