Default installing my exhaust

my slp lm1's and mac pro chamber should be here any day now and i havent decided if i want to (or even if its worth it) install the thing myself or if i should just pay to have it done. how hard would it be to install it myself (including mil eliminators)? on the flip side and for future mods.. i live in the orlando area, altamonte springs for those of you who are familiar with the area, i was wondering where a good place i can take my car to get QUALITY work done at a reasonable price. thanks in advance.

If you have any mechanical ability at all you can do this fairly easily. Make sure you have a lot of PB or similar penetrating spray handy since the exhaust bolts tend to rust up and can be tough to break loose. you will probably have to cut the stock pipes where they go over the axle unless you have access to a lift. The passenger side manifold to mid pipe bolts can be tricky because of the angle you have to get the wrench in. Its tough, but with a 3/8 in drive socket, about 2ft of extensions and a swivel is can be done.

The mil's are easy, just unplug the O2 sensors and plug the mil's inline with the sensors. You might have to grind the tabs off the passenger side mil to get it to fit into the plug, but that takes about 10 seconds with a grinder.

If you decide to do it, send me a pm and ill write you up a full how to.

one thing to remember. go buy some PB blaster and SOAK the bolts let it sit for like an hour then SOAK again and let em sit then SOAK then try and wrench them off. and if you feel the socket about to slip STOP and take it off and try again. you do not want to strip the passenger side bolt because once you do, you're never getting it off by yourself and you'll have to cut it off and get new studs before you can drive it again

Installation is easy, just time consuming. MIL eliminators require no skill what so ever. They just plug in the the plug on the vehicle and the other side plugs in to the O2 sensor.

I'm in a similar situation. I'll be getting my new prochamber and cat back next week and would be interested in reading a few good write ups to see everything I'm going to have to encounter while changing them. I have plenty of mechanical ability, and my dad is an aircraft mechanic, so I'll be getting his help down there, and I'm sure we'll have no problem, I just am not sure of the process. If anyone knows of any other write ups for it, please let me know.
