Autometer Gauge cluster

Autometer Instrument Cluster
part#7003 99-00
part#7001 01-04

I'm pretty sure these are discontinued now but ny question is what makes each different that a 7001 wouldn't work on a 99-00 (7003)and vis versa or would they? Thanks Dan.

i think one has the digital milage, other one doesnt.

no the 99 and up had digital readouts...i always wondered myself...but i assume it would be the color difference since teh 99-00 had "teal" lighting and the 01 and up have plain "green" lighting
