Lowering the car/couple of questions
Well since my 2v has little chance of making anymore power than it is I have deceided to have it handle better and enjoy that. I already have a set of KYB GR-2's here. Having had 3 back surgeries I need to keep it fairly comfortable and the $160. shipped didn't hurt either. I have Ford Racing 1.2" progressive rate loweing springs on order and the last piece is Maximum Motorsports aluminum steering rack bushings.
What effect will lowering the car have on the springs/struts, shorter life? I read most of the lowering thread and did not see where guys changed shocks when lowering.
How about the solid bushings? I got a recommendation to try them from another Mustang owner. MM said they were a good mod but of course they are selling them! Any issue with them that I should look out for? Are they a good mod? Supposed to make the steering more precise but that seems a bit vague and am not sure what they should actually do. I got the center drilled ones as that is what MM suggested for the stock K-member. Any suggestions are welcome. I also would like a suggestion on decently priced rear control arms as they also effect handling also, correct? There are so many brands out there that I would not know what to go with or stay away from! Thanks, mark

RE: Lowering the car/couple of questions
No if you have the KYB shocks/struts then they will be fine with an 1.2" drop. I have Tokico HP's and in the warranty it said that its only void if the car is dropped more than 2". They are made for that kind of stuff. With the stock shocks/struts lowering your car will shortenthe life of them.

If good handleing is your goal, ever thought about a panhead bar ? It helps to keep your *** end from shifting left/right in a curve. This is what gives mustang that falling into a curve feel, especially when control arm bushings get worn out.
