I just removed the OEM foglights and installed apair of these, ( Hella Optilux, specs are here). The OEM lights are severely limited by their use ofthe #89937.5W lamp and the poorly designed reflector and diffuser. The 899 lamp is rated 750 lumens, the Hella's are die-cast projectors using the 55W H-3's lamp rated at 1,450 lumens and produce a very wide, horizontal and sharp cut-off across the entire beam.In the last, if you are serious about seeing better in fog then blue/blue white lighting is exactly the wrong way to go--the wavelength of blue light is much shorter as compared to other visble colors, and therefore scatters more, this is why the sky is blue and why fog lights need to be amber/yellow. Red would penetrate even better but the longest wavelength light that is still in the human eye's optimal spectral response in yellow.Probably much more than anyone wanted to know...

yes you can buy foglights at autozone. when i needed new ones, i bought silverstars. they're a little more expensive but very bright. not a dull yellow color at all. i also bought headlights at the same time because i didnt' want my foglights being brighter than my headlights
