MGW is the finest kind--I don't know why anyone claimed it was not good for "powershifting". My grandfather always said "any machine is only as good as its operator", maybe they weren't good at powershifting...

Is the swivel handle on the MGW bring the actual shifter close to the driver? I have the stock shifter and it seems like a bit of a reach to the right for me. I'm wondering if the MGW will remedy this.

It will position the **** 3/4" to 1" closer to the driver, when "aimed" at the driver as I have done...
