Default GUNK Motor Flush question

[sm=feedback.gif]Mycar is due for an oil change and I was told to use GUNK Motor Flush before changing oilin my 1996Ford Mustang GT (4.6) in order to clean the engine because of the high millage (82K). My question is...: has anybody in this forum use it before? Does it reallywork dissolving sludge, gums and varnishes from engine and oil pan?
I'm the original owner andnever had anyproblems. Engineis running as good as new. Do you thinkits worth using this product? Do I really 'need' to use it? I usually change oil every 3000 miles. THANKS GUYS!!!![sm=icon_cheers.gif]

You don't need to use it.
I would only use it if I bought a car with a few clicks on it and did not know if the oil was changed regularly.
Then I would start using synthetic afterwards. Just my opinion.

If you were going to flush the motor then use seafoam they sell it at autozone for like 5 bucks a can. Plus you can put in you gas tank to clean your fuel injectors. JMHO

I wouldn't worry about it, if you feel the need for some self assurance, then try seafoam as said above. Just make sure you use good oil and filters whenever you change your oil.

side note: I heard a cup of transmission fluid added to your oil will work just as well and be drained with the next oil change. Never tried it, but it makes sense since there is a level of detergents transmission fluid and would strip any grime off. I'm not going to say much more because i'd hate to give out info im not too sure on

Tranny fluid in the oil is the old school way and yes it will work. It will smoke like crazy usually. So will the seafoam just kinda depends on how dirty the motor is so I would recommend doing it in a remote location or do it at night just in case. There are a few other tips a tricks you can do with seafoam to help your car peform its best. Good luck.

Just put a quort of trans fluid in it and drive it for about 20 miles than change it. That's what all the old school people and I do.
