i vote for cats. there is virtually no horsepower gain with or without cats on a street car.
High flow cats on a street car will net you roughly 2-3hp loss virtually unnoticeable!!! No cats is very smelly and has anyone eveer seen the new movie out with Al Gore...Inconvinient Truth??? Everyone thinks..ahhh I can't make a diff., but infact if everyone on this site used cats then we could all make a diff.! High flow cats aren't even legal although they trick the sensors!
cat delete can pick 10-20-30 hp depending upon your mod level...
There is no signficant difference between a aftermarket midpipe with or without cats.
You can pick up significant horsepower going from the stock pipe to a o/r pipe, but comparing a aftermarket o/r to a catted pipe you are not going to see signficant results. The high flow aftermarket cats do not make that much of a restriction difference.
The only negitive side to going with the catted pipe is the price and a difference in how it sounds.
I love having an o/r x because of sound, but the smell sometimes is very annoying at times when the wind is blowing back towards the car.But overall i would go catless
