Well it is always gonna be a little more but if you dont do any highway driving then I wouldnt worry any in the least about gas. It wont kill you on the street.

well the 3 things you need for a good fountain is a shiftkit (transgo) ,2500 stall convertor and a transmission cooler.......the a set of 4;10 with these any mods will be realize quite well

If you stay off the highway competely and keep your foot out of it (most important) a change from stock to 4:10s may actually improve MPG in town.

go with the 4:10's if you are going to get a supercharger down the road. If you are going to stay n/a i say 4:30's. If you want to change your converter go with at least a 3400. Add a cooler and you will outrun the 5 speeds.
