The only reason the Mach makes 305hp is because it has the Cobra 32v DOHC engine, the shaker is mainly for looks.

Not true at all...The shaker hood doesn't really start to kick in until around 80 mph or so...Then it takes on a RAM AIR effect...So it works just fine for the MACH 1..

yes but the shaker does go directly into the intake it directs the air into a normal cone filter near the passenger side fender, not big gains at all, cold air does the same thing it just doesn't look as cool. And to whoever said it wasn't the cobra motor, yes it is but it doesn't have the cobra upper intake, thus the cobra had 320hp and the Mach only had 305.

No the MACH1 and 99-01 Cobra's motors are completely different...There not the same motors at all..If you want proof i will give it too ya...but do a google search and you will see for yourself..

WAY to lazy to find it, you can post it though and I will stand corrected.

I know for sure the cams are mach1 specific for more tq. The heads are pretty much those on the 03/04 cobra motors. The intake is mach1 specific. The comp ratio is raised. The mach1 maybe rated lower but if you look at dyno charts they are usually stronger.

The '03 mach & the '01 Cobra have basically the same shortblock, with the exception of a slight compression increase from 9.85:1 to 10:1.
They both have the same forged steel crankshafts, weak cast powder connecting rods & Hyper-u-craptic pistons.

Both the Mach 1 & the '01 Cobra are equally as weak (or as strong) when boost is concerned.

Hand-built, yes. Better internals? Nope...
