Default green antifreeze ok??

hey guys, being winter is over and summer is on the horizon, i decided to flush the radiator. I noticed the previous antifreeze fluid was yellowish but wanted to kno if replacing it with green fluid would be alright??

yeah using green antifreeze is fine. it doesnt hurt anything it's just a dye that the manufacter of the antifreeze put in.

thanx just wanted to make sure, i now kno that either green or yellow is fine, but what makes orange so different that we can't use it on our cars?

I would put the same coolant that the factory installed when the car was built. The orange ( Dex-Cool ) 5 year coolant is NOT compatible with the green ( ethylene glycol ) coolant. if you don`t completely flush out the old stuff, the mixing of the two has been known to make a sludgy mess that screws up the cooling system.

To what i`ve been told, 99-04`s shouldn`t use anything other than the Premium Gold Coolant which was put in at the factory and does not need to be changed for 100K But if you do want to change it, you can only get it from the dealer.
