Default MAF

i have a 2003 gt. i have bbk long tubes, off road h, JLT RAI, under drive pulleys, 75mm tb and c and l plenum. i was talking to a friend and he said switch the mass air meter. so here is the question. does anyone know what size stock mass air meters are? would the 80mm be much bigger? and would ihave to get a re-tune if it is already calbrated?

Tell your friend he needs to study up more on 99-04 GT's. The stock MAF is 80mm and changing out to a bigger one will do NOTHING. The only time ya wanna change the MAF is if you go with forced induction.

Changing your MAF is a 100% waste of money unless you got FI, you will see nothing from it.

Even with a 1996 you do not need a bigger MAF unless you have FI
