Also, would it be bad for me to start the car with one of the spark plugs out? just to see if the spark created that sound...

dude, you've found your problem...now take it to Ford and have them fix it. Don't run the car anymore unless you like breaking more stuff and paying for it.

did the spark plug come out of the block, or did the spark plug wire come off the plug itself.

if the plug wire came off, then get a new one and go driving

if it's the plug, go to dealer

ORIGINAL: 2002GTAUTOVERT

i know i went to a jiffy lube.. ford recommends 5w-20 for the gt, they tried to put 5w-30 in it, told them to shove it and walked up to an auto parts store (luckily in the same center) and bought 5 quarts of 5w20 and did it right there in their bay. funny sh*t
You realize what different weights are forright?

5w-20 vs 5w-30 is fine. It's when youtry to use a 10w-30 or 20w-50 where you run into problems.

I took out the rubber spark hose thing and it still had the spark plug in it, the thread was stripped. It was not in the whole. I can't tell if there was internal damage cause the hole is too deep. But I am going to buy the spark plug and the wire rubbe part and see if it fixes it.
