Has anyone ever painted their stock rims. I love my stock rims but want to paint them black cuz i don't want to spend the money on a pair of the same rim but black. My car ischarcole gray and everything on it thebumper inserts interior is all black so i want black rims because my windows and tailights will be tintedblack in a couple weeks. Just wondering if anyone has done it and what kind of paint to get and where i can get it. Thanx guys

I have painted mine black with a silver lip, and I love the way they came out.

I painted my wifes black with a silver lip and it came out real nice. I did a write up on here look it up.

just do it for now and save up and buy some nice rims. dont wanna go painting too much on your car and since rims are such a visable exterior piece it may not satisfy you for the life of the car

I sanded them put on two coats of duplicolor black primer, 4 layersof duplicolor black wheel paint and then I put on 4 layers of duplicolor wheelclear coat. I used duplicolors chrome spray but not directly on the wheel, if u soak the lip in chrome spray and then sand it lightly and repeat it about 3 or 4 times its gives it a shiny brushed metal look that looks good when it's clear coated.
