Default When to switch

I'm just curious as to what rpm you switch at. I switch around 2500 normal driving. I don't go over 4000 when I'm wanting to go fast. I always baby my cars. I never go to red line.

I switch at 1800-2000 for normal driving and for driving fast I bang it off the rev limiter.

This is my first mustang that I just purchased within the last month. I didn't realize it had a rev limiter. What is it set at?

Seriously, you don't race people (if you do race) and shift at 4000 RPM right?

Your car makes peak at around 5000-5500 RPM, and it makes ALOT more at 5000 than 4000. No reason not to take it to redline, which is around 6000 RPM, when racing. I have seen 7500+ a few times on bad screwups and not damanged the motor (lucky).
