Default PI Cams in NPI Heads

I'm putting PI cams into my NPI heads on my 98 GT? I read something about needing a new PI cam gear bolt as mine didn't come with it. Is this true and if it is true where can I get it at? Thanks

All that work to do it, why not just the full PI head/intake swap?

I don't want to raise compression because I'm going supercharged down the road!

you changing the heads to pi is going to be no different than us new edge people slapping a blower on.... ull have the same heads we do once u do it so why would it matter?

becuase putting pi heads on a npi engine will raise the compression, not sure how much, but it does raise it to be higher than that of either stock pi or npi heads, you then face detenation when using fi

thicker head gaskets will cure that.

Fredand me both have different opinions on this subject as well

He seems to have had 0 problems with increase in compression and boost, but then again he was only running 8 psi and is currently have a built shortblock put in. I think if the car is your DD, then i would stay away from the PI heads, just get your NON PIs ported and it will be the same gains with the same compression. I also agree that you should do some blower cams if you are eventually going to be doing a blower.

Thanks for the help guys and for the opinions but I still don't have any answer to my original question. I already have the PI cams but just haven't installed them yet and need to know if I need a different cam gear bolt.
