Default Exhaust question!

I just got my 96 gt, and the exhaust is plain stock. It's not loud at all. I mean it sounds no louder than your typical family car. I want it to rumble but i don't want to spend 470 dollars on a new exhaust system, because i don't need it,so i was wandering if it would be a good idea to just buy mufflers, cut my existing ones off and put the new ones on. I have access to a welder, and have had a lot of experience in the field of welding so that won't be a problem. And i was wanting to know if there's an easy way to take your cats off, because for some reason i have six of them and i only need two or better yet none. So what do u think? Let me know, because any advice would help. Thanks!

yea i think just mufflers would be the best route for you. and im sure if you got some 2.25 pipe you could cut your cats off and weld some stright piping in, then in essens you would have an off road h

Weld in flowmasters will give you a decent rumble, not to loud though. Hoss, how do you like your MAC catback? I've been looking into getting one seince it's so inexpensive.

I think i'm just going to do what the hoss said and make my own h pipe so i don't have to buy one, because i just don't have the extra money and it takes me forever just to save up a little bit of cash. But thanks for your imput though i appreciate it.
