What is the stock thermostat set at? 190 degrees? Anyone running a colder than stock thermo on their car? I hear mixed reviews about it, one says its good to have the car run cooler than normal for performance reasons, and another will say that the car was built with a certain temp from the factory in mind for the reason that it simply runs the best at that temp.
Any thoughts?

RE: thermostat
Yes it runs perfect from the factory but whenever you start doing mods and generating more horsepower then that causes more heat then the factory colling was designed for an thats when you get into looking for a 160 degree thermo..its a must if you get a chip or anything that advances your timing..hope that help ya out

RE: thermostat
^^^^ What he said! But in the MOD family a 180* should be cool (no pun intended)! They run hot compared to other engines, ie: Honda, and the one that starts with a 'C' etc.
I have a 180 T*stat, I think it improved the stability of my car. Better idle quality and all-around performance!
(edit) Its 1 in the morning! WTF!
