Why would someone turn the EGR switch off?
There was a member here not to long ago that said he turned his EGR off with his tuner. He didn't have longtubes or a O/R pipe so I was wondering what would it do? I have a tuner but I don't mess with the OBD-2 settings because I don't want to screw anything up. In short are there any benefits or damage that could result fromturning it off,or is it harmless?
Thanks in advance.

If you don't need to do it, it's not going to be worth your time. I just didn't want to deal with it when I was building my headers. That's the only reason I deleted it.

Makes sense to me, that's why I was wondering. Even tho u can turn off the EGR switch with the tuner, it seems like there should be more to it. For example if the tuner can shut it off why do they sell EGR delete kits.
