Default ABS light

Im sure this has been addressed before in the past, and i did run a quick search, but they are all related to the TC light too.

anyway, last night as i was driving, my ABS light came on and stayed on for about a minute. it then went off. did the same thing again this morning. it never stays on, but it keeps comming on for a short period of time usually within the first 5 minutes of my car being on. last weekend i had the brakes repaced in the front and back, and i havent noticed anything but great performance from my system until this light thing started. Any ideas?

One of my tires rubbed through my back ABS wire. It would come on off and on when it first started. I didn't check on it till it stayed on and didnt go off. Lengethed the wire and added a zip tie and it was as good as new

its possible that mabe when they replaced the brakes that they may have damaged a sensor or a abs tone ring. but something like that should make the light stay on constant.

or you can do what I did when my abs light stayed on, unplug the bulb. I didn't actually do it until i installed the Roush guage cluster and thought, hmmm, I should pull the bulb for the abs light so i don't have to look at it anymore.

Same exact thing happened to me. It started off going on for a few minutes and then eventually it just stayed on. I must have knocked the abs wire out of the little clip that holds it when I did my exhaust and the wire was rubbing against my rear rim and eventually wore through

also, the ABS light comes on when your brake fluid is low. If it is even 5% below max the light may come on.
If it is not a faulty sensor, then try topping off your brake fluid

Mine did the same thing. I still havent found the problem. The rear looks good, but i havent checked the front yet. like it was stated, the sensor is def a condition. I couldnt find any wires that were worn through, but i guess i will recheck. mine turns on about a minute after i start her up and stays on steady now for almost 9 months. hell when i hooked up the diagnostics it kept coming back with faults. its not even showing up on that. I dont want to spend the cash on the shop figuring it out. would rather put it towards a supercharger. the haynes doesnt really say anything about it either, which sucks.
