RE: Stang suspension
Yes you should replace the shocks and struts. I would also put in new isolators as well. You may need cc plates too if your going with more than a 1.5 drop in the front. All cars are different though. Some need them, some don`t. I would get them anyway.

RE: Stang suspension
If you are trying to be cheap you can go without shocks/struts/camber kit. The lower your springs sit you the worse you will need all of those thing. Once you install your springs - take the car to the shop for an alignment (unless you want to wear your tires out quick). If the guys @ the shop can't align it then you will have to install camber plates (click on my signature to read about that). There is much debate on how much wear and what performance you can expect if you lower your car and keep the OEM shocks and struts. If you leave them OEM and experience and overly bouncing ride or something like that then you will know you need different ones. I know there are lots of people who leave them OEM to save money or whatever. It won't likely ruin your car so you can try it out for a while - especially if you don't mind taking your suspention back apart in order to install shocks and struts later. Just make sure you keep it aligned or you will blow through your tire budget. The Eibach sportline springs that Iinstalled havelowered me quite a bit (my GT was sitting retardely high OEM) and the camber plates allow for perfect alignment and I can not believe how well my tires are wearing (evenly). Very very pleased with the setup. I used KYB struts.
I hope my rattling on has helped you.
