Mobil 1 is the way to go, maybe Royal Purple if you have a newer motor (I used it in my car w/ 90,000 miles and it used about a quart in an oil change.) I run Mobil 1 10-30 in the summer and 5-30 in the winter.

what ever happened to amsoil? that used to be the talk of this forum.... everyone used to say amsoil is the way to go... i dont use it personally but its weird not seeing anyone say it when like 6 months or more most everyone would say go amsoil ... i have pensoil synthetic 5w-30 right now because i got a filter and the oil changed for 30 bucks so i just did it ... im gonna change it to mobil 1 5w30 synthetic most likley in a month or so evne though ive only had this penzoil in for like 1000 miles . ive heard ****ty things about penzoil so im gonna change it as soon as i can... the manual says use 5w30... whats with people using 10w30 and stuff like that

I ran Amsoil synthetic for awhile, but after some research, I switched to Redline synthetic. I also use their filters.

Just switched over to Mobile-1 5-30 synthetic yesterday. Now I know this oil performs in the cold or the heat. From what I have read you can't go wrong using this oil. Also it took 6.5 qts. at a cost of $5.00 a qt. I did use a motorcraft oil filter but I will be changing oil and filter every 3k miles regardless.

7qts of Mobile-1=$35.00
1 motorcraft filter=$4.00
Labor(Changed myself)=$0.00
Total=$39.00
