Default is open headers safe on motor?

was just wondering if i put my long tubes on and i have to drive with out my H-pipe on will my motor be alright. i Have heard that it can cause your values to float or something like that?

You would be fine if its not for a long period of time. I think it does cause back preasure lose though. Get the mid pipe asap but don't worry about hurting your engine if your not planing on running it like that for over a few months. While your at it you might want to pick up Tylenol from walmart for your headaches.

I run exhaust cut-outs and there has not been a problem yet. Its pretty much loud though.

There is no danger to your engine. I drove with open LT headers for 2 months. It is very loud and the engine runs rich unless you get a tune for it. Other than your plugs fowling and possible engine build up its nothing. The engine build up will get broken down with time and the plugs are easy to replace and cheap. If you get a tun for it, there are no worries. The problem is not with the back pressure, its the 02 sensors reading too much oxygen from the fresh air that runs up the pipes from the back.

Thats weird, on mine, it ran lean with LT headers...til i got a tune
