The pi swap consists of 99+ PI heads, cams and intake to replace your non PI (NPI) stuff. Basically you have to swap the heads, its a little involved, and a considerable project for a newb. but it definitely can be done. You can find complete used PI heads for about 400 bucks, PI intake manifold for 100 and the rest you can find easily.

He's on a budget and thats pretty elaborate for a newby like mark said the PI heads and intake will be perfect for your application for now just remember if you do decide to boost it seeing as your car is a 97 like my 96 it will raise the compression ratio once you swap your heads
