Just got done with my 4v swap tonight and we turned the motor over, it ran pretty well but it started up a very loud screeching noise, it's never done this before and we're trying to figure out what this may be, any help on this?car's a 96GT, motor is a 96cobra. we think it may be a pressure problem with the coolant or something but not completly sure

Where is it screeching from? Belt area? Did you build the engine yourself? Was it running prior to install? Does it sound internal?

 

i wasn't here when it happened, it started up just fine, no sounds, but when the engine heated up it started the screeching noise, coming from the top of the motor i think my dad said, not completely sure, the guy who helped us put the motor in from kauffmans said he never heard the sound before so he has no clue
