Cobra caliper movement - noise
Hey all,
I know there's quitea few posts on this already, but I never found an answer. On my '96 cobra, I have stock calipers and rotors up front. I'm sure the pads have been replaced though. For some reason the front calipers on both sidesare able to move toward and away from the rotor within the mounting bracket as shown in the picture by the red arrow. There is no side to side movement though. I do not see any possibility for a mounting pin in this location, however there are some holes that might be for a clip of some sorts? I've looked at hardware kits, but none of them seem to make any sense. Anyone have any advice for fixing this? It makes a terrible noise on every single bump that I go over.
Thanks in advance!

RE: Cobra caliper movement - noise
you need shims for the end of the pad itself. I had to make some for mine out of a thin piece of metal that i folded over a few times.
some cheap brake bads will always rattle... but Bendix pads have worked will for me.
