Default cut the cats?

Hey guys, I was thinking today! I have a pypes catted x and i was thinking of cutting the cats out and welding in 2 pieces of pipe so it'll be an off road x. I just got it inspected and i'll be getting rid of the car within the next year so i thought why not. Will i notice a big differnece in sound if i cut the high flows out cause i want it to be louder and don't just want to but a off road pipe cause i'll be selling it soon enough.

i say dont do it. you will notice a difference but its just a bad idea. and you might get some terrible smells with no cats

How about electric cutouts? I don't know too much about them, anything about them that are bad?

I know a guy who has them on his camaro, they are pretty cool (fun 2 play with on the road), but I don't really notice a difference when they are open vs closed other than the RIDICULOUS noise.

It will amplify your mufflers for sure, you wont see tremendous performance or anything though. I'm not sure if its worth your time or not. It will make your car slightly louder, just not sure if its worth the effort/money to you.

lol.....maybe raw gas

unless you can turn the cel off or you feel like coming up with the money to get MIL's or a tune, then I wouldnt do it. It will make your car harder to sell with the light on.

why bother if you're just going to sell the car soon? I wouldn't waste my time on that.
