Default no start, no crank

I have a 01 GT that won't start, won't crank. The instruments, electronics power on when key is turned but no start. I have a "service engine soon" light and the battery lite is on. I can clutch start it, then the two indicator lights turn off. New battery and alternator tested good. OBD II scan gave error code P1507. What do I do next?

The IAC has nothing to do with your problem and having those indicator lights on with the key on at pre-start is normal, as you said when you push start it they go out. It could be a few things, the starter switch, starter, clutch safety switch or wiring. Its a process of elimination, if you have a remote starter button, hook it up to the starter and if that works it will eliminate that as your prob. If you don't have one then you need to get the car up in the air a bit with the rear wheels off the ground, make sure its in neutral and go under and using a short screwdriver toudh it across the 2 terminals on the starter, big one and small one, if the motor cranks then the starter is good. After that, if good, then you need to test the other components that I mentioned, good luck.

starter switch: 25 bucks at NAPA, clutch safety switch is 60 bucks, starter is 109 plus core. Also check your electrical connections to your starter, might have come loose or off completely. Goodluck

Sounds like a bad, dirty,or loose battery cable, check and clean the battery cables at the battery, starter, and the alternator. Then try and start it.
