The first wear in is the most important look up the wear in process for gears on google.

Gears simply need a few hot and cold cycles. I did 3 cycles and then my foot was to the floor. It's been 1800miles and I have had zero issue's. I used FRRP gears. The reputation for whine is merely the hardness of the materials. Some brands are harder or softer than others. Softer gears are used on the drag strip for slight flex. Harder gears are for street for longevity and those are the one's that generally whine.

I used frrp when i did mine but I was really bad about the break-in and now my gears whine.

yeh dude i was told 5 cycles from warm to cold i drove my car 20 times that day and then got on it its been fine every since i had FRRP so good luck.
