A/C Compressor circulates???

A/C Compressor circulates???
Im no expert on this but I am wondering why at idle it sounds like the compressor kicks on and off?? Jus curious to why it does if thats really whats going on and is there a way to make it stop cus it makes my idle go up and down and i hate it.

I had a 2001 dodge ram that did that. check your refrigerant, mine was low and when i filled it to the correct pressure it stopped cycling.

The a/c compressor cycles on and off when you have the defrost on or mix.
