My car JUST hit the 5000 mile mark over the weekend actually.

I don't really want to go through the dealership, b/c I always have viewed them as shady characters. But if you are saying $250 for everything, gears and install? Damn that may just make me call them first...

hmm, and you said that you werent going to get gears earlier,,i think somebody has been reading too many gear posts and caught the same freaking fever i did

but hey dude,, i bought my FRPP4.10's for 175,,maybe 180, then the dude who did my catback and H for me is going to do it this weekend for 200 flat he said

so if i were you, i would be right at 400ish, except the speedo recall, so youre looking a tad over 500,, maybe 550 at most for you,, but i need to rebuild kit to boot, so im looking aruond...well, too much. lets put it that way,, you 'made' me spend so damn much on my catback that now i have to wait until next year for wheels, if then......

180 + 90 + 140 + 200 = 610 dollars total... god i hope thats all i need.....

by the way... how in the f*** does the speedo recall from dallasmustang work? are there instructions? or am i gonna have no fing idea what i am diong when i get it?

oh, and how much is the rearend fluid he told me to pick up?

thanks

Get the Motive Rear End Rebuild Kit from MustangTuning.com, 90 bucks and very worth it. It comes with replacement bearings, seals, etc., very worth it. I have it to go with my gears, I just like the "insurance" of it being there. Just to make sure everything was new in my rear end to go with the gears.

lol yea defintley too many gear posts, now I remember how bad I wanted them when I got my exhaust. I think $400 is going to be the limit, I know I know, budgets suck, but I gotta be smart about it, $500 and up is just not going to cut it at this very moment. This summer I'll have the cash to do it, but if I wanna get them right now, as in within a week or so, $400 is the max I think.

bwhaha so I emailed my dealership about the gears, and how much it would cost to buy the FRPP gears from them, and install directly through them.

Here is the email I received from them:

" LABOR WOULD BE $904.00 AND PARTS WOULD BE $831.41.

AS FAR IS I KNOW YOUR WARRANTY WOULD BE STILL 3YR ,36000 MILES
"

lmao, that was hilarious. Better look for some performance shops.
