Default 1998 Gt in need of a fuel pump upgrade

It's time to upgrade the pump in my 98. I know 1998's are weird about fuel pumps, and I'm starting to wish I didn't by such a bastard year of a car! Can someone tell me of a drop in tank pump that'll hold 400-450whp? I don't want to do a T-rex pump, or a BAP, just a normal intank pump! Thanks!

I have a 98 and I installed a Walbro 255... it required some modification of the basket to make it fit, but it was easy.

Here is the problem with a gearator style pump (86-97) on a 98 GT. The 98 GT fuel pump is a return style pump however the pump is similar to the 99+ as that it's a variable voltage pump and a 97 back pump such as the Walboro, BBK, ect. will not live long in that environment with the voltage changing constantly. If you do put it in make sure you run a steady 12 volts to the pump which can be done through a tune or a hard wire!
