Ive gone through two sets of 555R's in the past 6 months and I love them. Great all around street performance and they hoow well in the rain if you dont go WOT. I usually feel no slipping or hydroplaining from puddles either. They are great tires IMO.

before I went to the track for the first time on them I had HUGE traction issues with them in the rain. However, after a bunch of burnouts at the track to heat them I don't have traction issues with them anymore. My suggestion would be to light them up after you put them on

well its a drag radial, just be careful in the rain with them... light rain i feel they hook good, actually they suprise me to see how good they stick to wet pavement... when its a down pour just know you shouldnt be acting stupid anyways so watch the throttle

I almost lost mine in a cold rain once, a bit too much throttle around a corner.
They were real slick in the rain when I first got them, they don't seem too bad now, but I am careful.

The 555r's hook extremely good I have a couple of buddies with them on their car, one who pulled a 1.8 60ft time in a 1996 GT. After heating them they hook extremely well! They last longer than the BFG'S also. Discount Tire direct has 275/40/17's for 148 a tire, and 245/45/17's for 160 a tire. BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL IN THE RAIN THOUGH!
