Default STB not fitting

I bought a maximum motorsports STB to fit over my cobra engine and it's not lining up correctly. I can fit it on the two shock towers but where the two pieces meet the firewall is the problem. When I bolt up to the shock towers the back end of the STB is sticking upwards and I can't get it to go down unless I push with all I have and I didn't think that would be a great way to bolt it up with all that pressure. What I'm wondering is, I've been driving the car for a couple of months with no STB, and I'm wondering if it could of flexed or something like that so that the brace isn't fitting correctly??

I had the same problem with my MM strut tower brace. I returned it and got the Steeda strut tower and it fits perfect.

Default RE: STB not fitting

i'm having horrible problems with my MM strut tower brace. Steeda was my first try but they didn't have the STB in stock so I went with MM. For those of you who are looking around, DON'T CHOOSE MAXIMUM MOTORSPORTS. I had to drill a lot of holes in my firewall which took forever, they line up except a few so I have to redrill them, they gave me a couple of bolts that I ended up stripping only to find out they gave me the wrong bolts for the application. I'm going to make it fit though, it's just taking a lot of bull**** work I shouldn't of had to do, so again those of you looking for aftermarket strut towers, I had a horrible experience with MM
