Default Tranny/clutch pedal issue?

I posted on here a while back about hearing a clunk when shifting from 1 to 2, and sometimes from 3 to 4, but it didn't seem to be the same thing as most have with their 3650. It usually seemed to be better when cold not worse...

Well, I've noticed something else now... when it's shifting bad there's play in the clutch pedal, maybe an inch or so, but when it's shifting good/no clunk there doesn't seem to be much if any play in the pedal...

Any ideas what this might be caused by? This is my first Stang, and first cable operated manual...

Well i had my tranny rebuilt under warranty for the synchronizers, the clunky noise that you here is going to be the gears in the rear end they dont exactly line up right so the clunk a little bit or at least that is what i have been told true or not but the noise that i hear comes from the rear
