unhook the wires you have grounded in your first post. If they were the radio capacitor wires, they have power going to them. which is going to blow a fuse. replace the blown fuse. start the car.

Ive heard that PATS can activate from something simple as the battery being unplugged too long from a the guy that towed it. He told me it happens fairly often with fords. Ive heard that transmission work can cause it. I did disconnect the quadrant to get the cable out of the way of the valve cover. In doing that i couldhave messed with the engage switch.
I work at a dealer and i have never seen a car come in with a pats issue do to the battery being disconnected for a long time.

i can check the diagram at work tommorow and let you know. or if you have a test light you can check them one by one. but i think its gonna be in the fuse panel under the dash on the driver side.

Did you do the checks I told you earlier? Those will tell you if the computer is dead.

Check fuse 34 under the dash.

Also check the black box on the passenger side fender right by the maf. Make sure all wires are connected to it.

I have had my battery out for a whole deployment (15 months) and never had a problem with the car and it had a diablo tune in it at the time.

If the dealer thinks you dont know **** they will try to screw you. I have gone to dealers with friends that were getting screwed and made the techs feel like dumb asses. Even got offered a job by the service manager but Army comes first.

hey cut the wires you bollted down. and then check the underhood fuse box for fuse 26. its a 30 amp fuse. i bet its bad. it controls power to the pcm. so install a new fuse. and tape the ends of the broken wires for now to get you home so they won't sort out again.
