Engine fixed but will not run on all cylinders
Hello All,
My last posting was about my engine blowing a sparkplug out of the cylinder head above the #6 cylinder. Well, I "borrowed" this cool kit from a local police service station to re-drill the sparkplug hole and insert a steel selve. That all worked out beautifully except now my engine seems to be running on 4 pistons andI have thetrouble code "P0193" (P0193-Engine Fuel Temperature Sensor circuit.) coming up on the computer. Is this the little black box sitting ontop of the fuelrail on the driver side? Has anyone had one of these go bad? Would this cause the engine not to run on all cylinders?

The black box on top of the fuel rail is the fuel rail pressure sensor. The code you displayed is not for a fuel temperature sensor. It is for the fuel rail pressure sensor. I believe that sensor is a dealer only item though. Oh yeah, if is has gone bad the car will definitely have driveability issues. I had that code once but it was after my computer started going south.
