Default Horse Power Suggestions

I have a 2001 Roush Stage 2. I am new to Mustangs and am looking for some help or suggestions. I want to get more Horse Power with out changing the motor or running nitrous. I am planning on changing cams and running some long tube headers, but I want to see if there is any other suggestions or combinations that will help get me the Horse Power that I am looking for. Thanks in advance for the help.

Best Combo for any 4.6l is a supercharger, I really wish I left my car stock and saved for a supercharger. N/A our cars make crap power.

The 4.6 (281) is a fairly efficient little motor straight from the factory. That's why the motor doesn't see as much gain from after market parts as other motors. It's biggest limiting factor is the 3.5 inch bore which limits the size of the valves. A lot of people buy headers, cams, port and polish the heads, etc. But the truth is that you will spend more money building a 300 rwhp naturally aspirated motor than you will building a 350-370 rwhp forced induction motor. If you want horsepower then my advice is to leave the motor alone until you've saved enough for a supercharger (or turbocharger).

I think someone put some NPI heads on his car....

and possibly drilled some holes in them to lower the compression to about zero.

I hope the cobra swap works well for him
