As far as the tranny oil, I had it changed at pepboys. I always keep a strict eye on my car cause I don't trust anyone. I saw them drain the old fluid but I was like 10 feet away. I didn't see any visible metal, though I would assume it would be hard to see anyway.
A "strict eye" would be doing it yourself, PepBoys hardly qualifies a a competent "speed/performance shop". Are you sure they only put in 3.2 qts.? Did they give you the remaining 3/4 qt, to have and hold...

It sounds to me like your tranny is giving up the ghost, keep banging on it and it will die sooner rather than later...

Yeah, i'm nice to my tranny =) I shift like a grandma at 2200-2300RPM all day every day (Occasionally, I open her up to around 3800-4000)

I live in a small apartment complex with a small shared underground garage. I just don't have the means to do things myself, even though I love my car and I hate taking it to places. At least at pepboys they lift the car up instead of having an underground pit to do the work so I can watch them.

No they didn't give me back the remainding oil, I was gonna ask for it but I said ah **** it. I should have though, so I can make sure. I also asked a guy who can speak english better to ask the mechanic to make sure hes only putting in 3.2 and not the full 4. I know for sure he went through 3 quarts. As far as the last bottle I am pretty sure he put the 0.2 in there. He uses a pump so I don't know if it sucked out all the oils in the bottles but i'm pretty sure he did.

So my synchro is probably done? If worse comes to worse, can it be repaired and etc or do I have to rebuild/replace the entire piece of crap?

I also called SANTA MONICA FORD to see if I can bring my car in and see if they can tell exactly what the problem is or how soon parts will go or whatever. They told me they charge $89.99 just to see my face and talk.

What engine speed you shift at is not really relevant to transmission life, it how you shift that can break things--repetitive "banging" in and out of gear, power shifting, "dropping" the clutch, etc., I.e. playing Don Garlits every time you drive the car, can place loads far greater on the tranny far greater than the 360 ft.lbs. it's rated for.

I routinely shift at 4-5k and hit red line in 1st and 2nd at least once a day, however I let the revs drop between upshifts, and speed match on downshifts to minimise shock loads to the transmission.
