what is the difference between these two? What are the pros and cons of both of them? which would you suggest? Do you know any good links to buy from?

I think roots make mroe power down low and the twin screw is more midrange? ANd I think the roots gets hotter quicker. I could be wrong though, haven't read up much on it seeing as it is out of my price range for quite a while

I have roots s/c. The roots gives you max. boost at like 2500rpm. The centrifugal s/c makes max. boost at max. rpm so the highter you rev the motor the more boost you make.
I drove a transam with a vortech, I did not like it. I like puting my foot to the floor and making max. boost.
If you have a GT and you what to go with the roots there are only two roots out there the saleen and the KB that I know of.

Ill tell you. i just ordered a centrifugal kit for my S281 and my SA-15 has a roots on it. but i think the sa-15 blower is broken or something cuz the gauge shows a max boost of 2 PSI and the S281 is faster at the moment w/o any nitrous

Roots will boost you throughout the rpm band, a Centrifugal will provide more boost through the engines "sweet spot" like a turbo (but with less "lag" down low.)

A roots will also take power to make power since it's belt driven.

I'm putting a roots on the Civic once I get 2500.

I stand corrected.

I never researched a centrifugal setup before.

Aren't all S/C belt driven?
